History Class in Templemoyle
On the 28th of April Martin T Kelly brought us to Templemoyle graveyard and told us the story about the Templemoyle Bell. He said years ago when he was teaching at Newcastle school a boy called Gerry Rabbitte was in 6th class. Martin was teaching about bells and he drew one on the board. Gerry said "We have one of them down in the sand pit by the graveyard." Martin said "That's impossible!" and Gerry said "Well I'll go get it!" And he arrived back with a bell dated over 1000-1500 years old. And that is how it is called the Templemoyle Bell. It is now in a Dublin museum and we are going to visit the museum to see the famous bell on Thursday!
